A discreetly managed donation service for premium residences. We install, collect on a schedule, deliver to local nonprofits, and report quarterly impact results with nothing for your staff to do.
Manhattan residents have less space, no car and less time than the typical American household, which makes donating harder here.
New Yorkers accumulate things like everyone else, but they have less space to keep them and fewer convenient ways to move them somewhere for reuse. A donation box in the building closes that gap.
Unwanted items still have to go somewhere. Your porters, doormen and supers quietly sort, bag and haul them away.
Divert reusable goods from the waste stream, reduce your risk of DSNY fines across your portfolio and receive clear data on the results.
Scheduling pickups, packing bags and hauling them across town takes effort, so residents hold onto usable items or throw them out.
Residents already expect conveniences like package rooms and concierge service. Donation pickup is one more errand they would happily skip.
A refined donation station placed where it suits the building, with discreet signage and a ready-to-send resident announcement.
Our team collects on a fixed weekly or bi-weekly schedule and sorts and screens every item. Your staff never handles, sorts or stores a donation.
Screened items go to verified 501(c)(3) partners in Chelsea. Each quarter you receive a branded impact report showing what was collected and who received it.
A refined metal donation station, not a bin. It comes in multiple sizes, so it fits neatly in a basement, service corridor or laundry room.
Every quarter, each building gets a one-page report, fully packaged and ready to send, with real data on what was collected and who received it.
Whether you manage a handful of properties or a large portfolio, we handle the rollout, coordinate pickups across every address and send one consolidated report for your whole portfolio.
No. We install the box, collect on schedule and deliver. Your porters, doormen and supers don't handle or sort donations, and only vetted Good Riddance employees come into the building.
Our crews remove prohibited items at pickup. However, our data shows that people tend to donate thoughtfully: on average, only 0.6% of donated items are unusable. Our donation terms are published on our site.
Yes. Good Riddance carries commercial general liability insurance, including hired and non-owned auto coverage. We will meet your building's insurance requirements, and a certificate of insurance naming your property as additional insured is available on request.
Clothing and shoes, books and media, kitchenware, small home goods, toys and games, linens and textiles, pet supplies, office supplies, non-perishable unexpired food, and diapers and baby items. We don't accept perishables, underwear, firearms or weapons, soiled items, or items in poor condition.
A permanent box sits in your basement, service corridor or laundry room. It comes in multiple sizes, starting at about 51 × 24 inches and 31 inches tall, so we can fit the space you have.
Weekly or every other week, depending on building size and box volume. We set the schedule with you during rollout and adjust it as volume changes.
Service is provided under an annual agreement, starting with a phased rollout across the buildings you choose. Terms are set out in your proposal, and we're happy to walk through them with you.
Tell us about your portfolio and we'll reply within one business day with a proposed rollout plan.
