Good Riddance is a women-owned donation pickup and logistics service based in Chelsea, New York City, founded by two New Yorkers. We help buildings, families and neighborhoods donate unwanted items instead of sending them to a landfill.
Manhattan households have less space, rarely own a car and have less free time. Usable goods end up in the trash because getting them to a nonprofit takes more effort than most people can spare. Good Riddance was founded in Chelsea by two New Yorkers to close that gap: we place donation boxes in residential buildings, handle pickup and sorting and deliver screened items to local nonprofits, with nothing for building staff to do.
Porters, doormen and supers never handle, sort or store a donation. Only vetted Good Riddance employees come into the building.
Every donation stays in New York City, matched to the items each nonprofit can actually use. Where possible, we choose nonprofits near your building, so your donations help your neighbors.
Every quarter, each building gets a report with real counts, weights and the nonprofits that received the items. It's branded for the building and its property manager, fully packaged and ready to send.
